Mataram, January 29 2024 – Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program (Bastrindo) FKIP Unram collaborates and holds a Public Lecture on Language and Literature with the Indonesian Literature Study Program, Udayana University (Unud). Opened directly by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, FKIP Unram (Dr. Saprizal Hadisaputra, S.SI., M.Sc.), the activity is expected to have(29/01) a good impact on IKU 4 and Bastrindo study program accreditation which is expected to receive the title of Excellence this year.
The event began with the signing of a cooperation agreement letter by the Head of the Indonesian Literature Study Program Unud (Dr. I Gusti Ayu Agung Mas Triadnyani, S.S., M.Hum.) with the Head of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program (Dr. Saharudin, M.A) and the Head of the Master of Language Education Study Program Indonesia (Dr. Burhanuddin, M.Hum.) from Unram. After the session, the event continued with a Public Lecture on Language and Literature moderated by Dr. Irma Setiawan, M.Pd.
The first material was delivered directly by Dr. I Gusti Ayu Agung Mas Triadnyani, S.S., M.Hum. explaining the topic “From Literary Appreciation to Critical Discourse.” The Head of the Indonesian Literature Study Program, Unud, emphasized that a person cannot carry out a critical dialogue on a literary work, without going through the stages of literary appreciation which aims to find a good meaning of the literary work.


Different from the first speaker, Prof. Dr. I Made Dhanawaty, M. Hum. as the second speaker delivered material related to "Communication Accommodation Theory and its Contribution to Language Research." Prof. Dhanawaty discusses a lot about communication, language, and his relationship with society. "A good in-group feeling can be built with good communication or linguistic adjustments," he said.In group feeling The final session was closed by questions and answers from the presenters and participants. Students, lecturers, and other participants who attended seemed enthusiastic about discussing the topics presented by the presenters. This was proven by the number of participants who asked questions in the last session.
