Mataram, May 29th 2024 – the Dean of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education at the University of Mataram (FKIP Unram), Drs. Lalu Zulkifli, M.Si., Ph.D., welcomed a delegation from the Indonesian Language and Literature Education program (PBSI) at the Faculty of Languages and Arts, Semarang State University (FBS Unnes). The event, held in the 2nd Floor Meeting Room of Building A, was also attended by the Head of PBSI FKIP Unram and several faculty members. The purpose of the visit was to sign a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) and Implementation Arrangement (IA). FBS UnnesRepresenting FKIP Unram were the Dean, Drs. Lalu Zulkifli, M.Si., Ph.D., and the Head of PBSI, Dr. Saharuddin, MA, along with other faculty members. The delegation from Semarang State University was led by Dr. Deby Lurniawati Naryatmojo, M.Pd., Head of PBSI FBS Unnes, accompanied by two lecturers from the program.

In his opening remarks, Drs. Lalu Zulkifli, M.Si., Ph.D. expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “We are pleased to welcome the PBSI FBS Unnes to establish a collaboration with FKIP University of Mataram. Through this partnership, we aim to elevate the quality of education and development in PBSI FKIP Unram in the fields of teaching and educational sciences.”

Dr. Deby Lurniawati Naryatmojo, M.Pd. responded positively, viewing the cooperation as a strategic move to enhance program development, particularly in launching international classes. She remarked, “This initiative is a step towards fostering collaboration in various areas, including the Independent Student Exchange (PMM), faculty exchange, MBKM curriculum discussions, and international classes.”

The agreement signed covers several key areas: Independent Student Exchange (PMM), Faculty Exchange (Guest Lectures), MBKM Curriculum Focus Group Discussions (FGD), and International Class Curriculum FGD. Both parties are committed to implementing these programs to ensure tangible benefits. Demonstrating their dedication, the PBSI FKIP Unram immediately rolled out several collaborative initiatives following the signing of the agreement. These included a guest lecture with speakers from PBSI FBS Semarang State University, attended by over 200 students from PBSI FKIP University of Mataram. This guest lecture, held in the Auditorium of Building A, FKIP Unram, focused on the development of Indonesian Language and Literature Learning Media. Additionally, the MBKM Curriculum FGD and International Class FGD were conducted in the dean's meeting room on the 2nd floor of Building A, discussing the design of the international class curriculum.
