Mataram, May 17, 2025 – The Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program (Bastrindo), Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), University of Mataram held an activity entitled Tips and Tricks for Conquering the TOEFL on Saturday, May 17, 2025. This activity is carried out online through the Zoom platform starting at 09.00 WITA.
The activity, which was intended for all Bastrindo Education students who are currently working on their thesis, presented three presenters from among the study program lecturers, namely Andra Ade Riyanto, M.A., Januari Rizki Pratama, M.Hum., and Aliurridha, M.Hum. Each speaker shared practical strategies and tips in facing the TOEFL test, ranging from understanding questions to time management during the exam.
The Head of the Bastrindo Education Study Program, Dr. Saharudin, S.S., M.A., in his remarks expressed his hope that this activity could help students meet the TOEFL score standard which is one of the requirements for the thesis exam. “We hope that with this activity, students can complete their thesis without being constrained by TOEFL requirements, so that they can graduate on time,” he said.
This activity was welcomed enthusiastically by students, as seen from the number of participants who attended and active interaction during the discussion session. In addition to the main material, the participants also had the opportunity to consult directly about the problems that are often faced in the TOEFL test.
Through this activity, it is hoped that Bastrindo Education students will be better prepared for the TOEFL exam and can immediately complete their studies according to the target.
