The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at Universitas Mataram held a Workshop on the Evaluation of the 2022 Curriculum and the Development of an International-Based Curriculum Draft, featuring expert speakers Dr. Dadi Setiadi, M.Sc., and Dr. Putu Arthayasa, M.Si. This event aimed to assess the implementation of the previous curriculum and design a new curriculum that meets international standards.
In his report, the Head of the Study Program, Dr. Didik Santoso, M.Sc., stated that the invited speakers had a deep understanding of the workshop materials. He also emphasized the importance of aligning the curriculum with global demands to enhance the competitiveness of FKIP Unram graduates.
The Dean of FKIP Unram, Drs. Lalu Zulkifli, M.Si., Ph.D., stated in his speech that international curriculum standards must be met for FKIP to continue growing and adapting to global educational needs. He also appreciated the swift response of the study program heads in developing and aligning the curriculum with international standards and expressed his gratitude to all lecturers for their contributions in supporting the faculty’s progress.
Furthermore, the Dean emphasized that the path toward international accreditation is part of the principle of continuous improvement, which must be implemented consistently. By adhering to this principle, FKIP Unram is expected to continuously enhance its academic quality and graduates' competitiveness at the global level.
This workshop aligns with FKIP Unram's commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure). The development of an international-based curriculum will enhance the quality of learning and provide students with opportunities to receive education that is relevant to global standards.
With this workshop, FKIP Unram is increasingly optimistic about achieving international accreditation and continues to innovate in its learning system to produce graduates who are competitive and ready to face the challenges of the workforce in the era of globalization.
