The Biology Education Program at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Universitas Mataram successfully held an Alumni Halal Bihalal and Online Socialization of the New Master’s Program in Biology Education via Zoom Meeting on Friday, May 2, 2025. The event served as a meaningful opportunity to strengthen connections among alumni while sharing important updates on the launch of the new graduate-level program.
Starting at 2:00 PM (WIB), the event was attended by dozens of alumni from various cohorts, faculty members, and program administrators. Also present were the Chair of the Biology Education Alumni Association, the Coordinator of the Undergraduate Biology Education Program, and the Coordinator of the new Master’s Program in Biology Education.
In his opening remarks, the Undergraduate Program Coordinator expressed appreciation for the enthusiastic participation of alumni and emphasized that this Halal Bihalal gathering was part of a broader effort to reinforce the alumni network and foster synergy in advancing the program.
“This gathering is not just about strengthening emotional bonds — it also serves as a strategic platform for sharing ideas and academic development plans, including the newly launched Master’s Program in Biology Education, which is now open for enrollment,” he said.
The session introducing the master’s program was led by the program development team, who outlined its vision, mission, curriculum design, and graduate prospects. The program is designed to meet the evolving demands of biology education through a research-driven approach, innovative teaching practices, and a distinctive focus on marine education and sustainable ecotourism.
The discussion that followed was lively and interactive, with alumni enthusiastically asking questions and offering suggestions for the new graduate program. Several alumni also expressed a strong interest in enrolling in the Master’s Program themselves.
The event concluded with a collective prayer and shared hope that the spirit of kinship among Biology Education alumni at FKIP Universitas Mataram would continue to grow stronger — and that the Master’s Program in Biology Education would become a top choice for prospective graduate students in the field.
