Mataram, 11 November 2025 — The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at the University of Mataram held a Student Creativity Program (PKM) Mentoring Session themed “How to Successfully Prepare a PKM Proposal 2026” at the 3rd Floor Auditorium of Building A, FKIP Unram. The event aimed to improve the quality of student PKM proposals to enhance their competitiveness at the national level and to strengthen the culture of research and innovation within the campus environment.
In his report, the Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Alumni, Dr. Muh. Makhrus, M.Pd., explained that the program focuses on building the capacity of young lecturers to guide students in preparing high-quality PKM proposals. “We intentionally invited young lecturers because they play a crucial role in the mentoring process. PKM is not only about quantity but also about producing impactful ideas,” he said. The participants consisted of lecturers from the 2021 to 2025 cohorts, who are expected to gain a deeper understanding of PKM proposal assessment criteria and apply them effectively in mentoring students.
FKIP Unram Dean, Drs. Lalu Zulkifli, M.Si., Ph.D., emphasized the need for participants to engage seriously throughout the program. “The principle of being an educator is understanding how to help others gain knowledge. Therefore, I hope today’s material can be absorbed well. We must remain reflective and adaptive to changes, especially in supporting students to produce creative and impactful work,” he stated.

The event featured Putu Gde Ariastita, S.T., M.T. from Surabaya Institute of Technology as the main speaker. He delivered an in-depth presentation on effective PKM proposal development strategies, including idea novelty, program sustainability, and potential outcomes that align with community needs and national development priorities.
