Mataram, July 24, 2024 – The S1 English Education Study Program at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) of the University of Mataram held a Workshop on Updating the Semester Learning Plan (RPS) and Student Assignment Plan (RTM) in accordance with the Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Regulation No. 53 of 2023. This event aimed to align the Graduate Learning Outcomes (CPL) of the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curriculum reform with the RPS and RTM.

The workshop took place on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at FKIP Universitas Mataram and was opened by Dr. Arafiq, S.Pd., M.Hum., the Head of the S1 English Education Study Program. In his remarks, Dr. Arafiq emphasized the importance of this adjustment to ensure the relevance and quality of learning in line with national standards. “This activity is a crucial step to enhance the quality of our education to align with the latest policies from the Ministry of Education and Culture,” said Dr. Arafiq.

The workshop featured Drs. I Made Sujana, M.A., who delivered a presentation on updating the RPS and RTM based on the Ministry of Education and Culture Regulation No. 53 of 2023. Drs. I Made Sujana outlined various strategies and methods for integrating Outcome-Based Education (OBE) principles into the preparation of RPS and RTM.

“This adjustment is not merely administrative but directly impacts the quality of teaching and student learning outcomes,” explained Drs. I Made Sujana.

The event was attended by all lecturers of the Bachelor’s Program in English Education to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the required adjustments. In addition, the Faculty Deans and the Head of the Department of Language and Arts Education at FKIP Universitas Mataram were also present to provide support and strategic guidance.

Drs. H. Untung Waluyo, M.A., Ph.D., who also attended the workshop, added, “Collaboration among lecturers and faculty leadership is essential to ensure the effective implementation of this policy.”
