Mataram, October 18, 2024 – In its continuous effort to enhance the quality of education, the English Education Program at FKIP Universitas Mataram held a Mid-Semester Evaluation Meeting for the Odd Semester 2024-2025 on Friday, October 18, 2024. The meeting took place in the Faculty’s Staff Room and was attended by all faculty members of the English Education Program.
Chaired by Dr. Amrullah, M.Pd., Head of the Department of Language and Arts Education, and Dr. Arafiq, S.Pd., M.Hum., Head of the English Education Program, the meeting covered several key agendas. One of the main points discussed was the Mid-Semester Academic Evaluation, where student academic performance was reviewed in detail. The discussion highlighted academic achievements, student participation in class, and any challenges faced during the semester.
Another important topic was the Preparation for the Program’s Assessment (Asesmen Lapangan/AL). As part of the accreditation process, faculty members collectively developed strategies to face the upcoming assessment. The discussion included reviewing the curriculum, improving teaching methods, and utilizing technology for both online and in-person learning.
During the miscellaneous session, the faculty members shared creative ideas to enhance the quality of learning, such as developing more interactive teaching materials and leveraging digital platforms to monitor student progress.
The meeting, which ran from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM local time, concluded with a collaborative spirit among the faculty to continue innovating in order to produce graduates who are competent and competitive in the workforce. “We are committed to continuously giving our best to develop our students’ potential,” said Dr. Arafiq, S.Pd., M.Hum., as he closed the meeting.
With this thorough evaluation and well-prepared planning, the English Education Program at FKIP Universitas Mataram is optimistic about maintaining and even improving its academic performance in the future.
