As part of its commitment to internationalization and the advancement of academic innovation, the English Education Study Program at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), University of Mataram, has established a strategic collaboration with Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Malaysia in the fields of research and teaching, particularly focusing on the utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education.

This collaboration featured Dr. Dewi Satria Elmiana, M.Pd., a lecturer from the English Education Study Program at FKIP Unram, as the keynote speaker in an event titled Research and Teaching Collaboration. During her academic presentation, Dr. Dewi outlined various integrative approaches that can be employed to optimize the use of AI technology in enhancing the quality of English language instruction, including the use of ChatGPT, Grammarly, and other adaptive learning platforms.

"AI should be positioned as an educational partner, not a replacement," stated Dr. Dewi. "The key lies in how we develop ethical and contextual technological literacy so that the learning process remains student-centered."

The event received positive responses from the academic communities of both institutions. The scholarly dialogue that took place opened up further opportunities for collaborative research, faculty exchange, and the development of technology-based curricula aligned with the challenges of the 21st century.

This collaboration also aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). With a spirit of cross-border partnership, the English Education Study Program at FKIP Unram remains committed to being a pioneer in promoting innovative, inclusive, and sustainable educational transformation.
