
Dr. Lalu Muhaimi, M.Pd.
Lalu Muhaimi is a senior lecturer in linguistics and literature education in the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Mataram (Unram) where he has been working since 1987. After completing his Doctoral program in language and literature in the State University of Surabaya, Indonesia, he is involved in developing and teaching undergraduate and post graduate courses in linguistics (semantics, pragmatics and psycholinguistics), literary studies and language acquisition. His dissertation on the analysis of modality in the classical literary works has inspired him to do some researches on the linguistic aspects of literary discourse. He was also participated actively in developing Self Access Centre at the Language Centre of Unram in which he was also involved in developing and teaching TOEFL and IELTS. For the last four years, Muhaimi has also been actively involved in coordinating and developing curriculum, contemporary methods of teaching and learning (e.g., Case-Based and Project-Based learnings), current techniques of evaluation, and quality control at Unram through the Institute of Quality Assurance and Education Development (QAED). His involvement in QAED has brought him to be the key speakers for curriculum development and assessment in many study programs at Unram and other universities nationally
