Mataram \u2013 The English Education Study Program, FKIP, University of Mataram, in collaboration with the Junior High School English Teachers\u2019 Working Group (MGMP) of Mataram City, organized a mentoring program for teachers in writing learning ideas based on best practices in teaching and research.<\/p>\n

This program was conducted in a blended format\u2014face-to-face and online\u2014over a period of three months (32 total hours), and involved lecturers, teachers, and students. Its aim was to encourage the development of innovative ideas that can be applied in English language teaching at the junior and senior high school as well as university levels, while also documenting good practices carried out by teachers, lecturers, and students in the field. <\/p>\n

The Head of the PKM Team of the English Education Study Program, FKIP Unram, I Made Sujana, explained that this program not only strengthens collaboration between universities and schools but also serves as a forum for continuous professional development for teachers. \u201cThrough this mentoring, teachers can turn their teaching and research experiences into written works that are beneficial both for their colleagues and for the wider educational community,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n

The series of activities included discussions on learning ideas, modeling of ideas by the lecturer team, product drafting, mentoring and review, as well as revision sessions. Each participant had the opportunity to engage in in-depth discussions on writing challenges and receive direct feedback from supervising lecturers. <\/p>\n

The Head of the Junior High School English MGMP of Mataram City, Dewi Tutini Yulianti, S.Pd., appreciated the program as a valuable platform for sharing experiences and enriching teaching strategies. \u201cTeachers are not only practitioners but also writers who can inspire,\u201d she stated. <\/p>\n

The final product of this program is a compilation book containing English learning ideas written by lecturers, teachers, and students. The book is expected to serve as a practical reference for educators and future educators seeking to develop innovative classroom practices. <\/p>\n

This collaborative initiative stands as concrete evidence of the synergy between higher education institutions and schools in improving the quality of English language teaching in Mataram City.<\/p>\n
