Untuk meningkatkan praktik pembelajaran yang mengintegrasikan bahasa asing dengan konten bidang studi, sekolah menyelenggarakan kegiatan Diskusi Akademik Penerapan Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) sebagai upaya meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran berbasis bahasa dan konten secara terpadu. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk mempertemukan praktik-praktik pembelajaran yang selama ini sudah dijalankan di sekolah dengan konsep-konsep yang seharusnya ada dalam penyelenggaraan Bilingual Education. <span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.24px\">Diskusi difasilitasi oleh I Made Sujana dari Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris FKIP Universitas Mataram. Dalam pemaparannya, fasilitator menjelaskan konsep dasar CLIL sebagai pendekatan pembelajaran dengan tujuan ganda, yakni penguasaan konten akademik sekaligus pengembangan kompetensi bahasa asing. CLIL menempatkan bahasa tidak hanya sebagai alat komunikasi, tetapi juga sebagai objek pembelajaran, dengan tetap menjaga keutuhan dan keotentikan materi akademik melalui dukungan scaffolding linguistik dan kognitif.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Materi diskusi mencakup rasional penerapan CLIL di sekolah menengah, termasuk pembelajaran yang lebih kontekstual dan bermakna, efisiensi integrasi kurikulum, penguatan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi (HOTS), literasi akademik, serta dukungan terhadap internasionalisasi dan daya saing global. Peserta juga diajak memahami kerangka CLIL yang dikenal dengan 4Cs, yaitu Content, Communication, Cognition, dan Culture, sebagai fondasi perencanaan dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran. Disampikan juga bagaimana penyelenggaraan penerapan Soft-CLIL menuju Hard-CLIL, yang dalam jangka panjang menjadi pendidikan yang berbasis pada EMI (English-Medium Kepala Sekolah Bidang Humas, Khasyatillah; Kepala SMP Nasional 3 Bahasa Budi Luhur, Ibu Esther Meliana; serta seluruh guru Sekolah Nasional 3 Bahasa Budi Luhur Mataram. Kehadiran para pemangku kepentingan tersebut menunjukkan komitmen bersama dalam pengembangan inovasi pembelajaran.<\/p>\n<p>Melalui diskusi ini, diharapkan para guru memperoleh pemahaman konseptual dan praktis mengenai langkah-langkah penerapan CLIL, mulai dari analisis konteks, perumusan tujuan ganda, pengembangan materi, strategi pembelajaran, hingga asesmen dan tindak lanjut. Kegiatan ini menjadi langkah awal yang strategis dalam mendorong implementasi pembelajaran bilingual yang berkualitas di lingkungan sekolah. Semoga niat baik semua pihak bisa memberikan kontribusi terhadap peningkatan pendidikan minimal di wilayah Kota Mataram. Kegiatan ini juga mengupayakan adanya hubungan mutualisme sekolah sebagai tempat PLP mahasiswa dengan penyelenggara LPTK (FKIP Unram).<\/p>\n<p>Ketika Deep Learning menjadi ikon pendidikan dasar dan menengah saat ini, perlu penerjemahan lebih jauh oleh para pelaku pendidikan, yaitu Pembelajaran Mendalam (Deep Learning) tidak akan pernah dicapai tanpa Pengajaran Mendalam (Deep Teaching), dan Pengajaran Mendalam tidak akan pernah terlaksana tanpa Perencanaan Mendalam (Deep Planning.
