The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), University of Mataram, has established a strategic collaboration with the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha), focusing on the Tri Dharma of Higher Education—education, research, and community service.
This collaboration was formalized through an academic visit by the Chemistry Department team from FMIPA Undiksha to the Chemistry Education Study Program of FKIP Unram on August 27, 2025. The visit was led directly by the Head of the Chemistry Department of FMIPA Undiksha, accompanied by five senior lecturers.
The main agenda of the visit included:

Signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) between Dr. Drs. I Wayan Sukra Warpala, M.Sc., Dean of FMIPA Undiksha, and Drs. Lalu Zulkifli, Ph.D., Dean of FKIP Unram.

Guest Lecture titled “Bali Synwood: Synthetic Wood from Rice Waste as STEAM-Based Learning Material and the Contribution of Chemistry Education to Sustainable Development.”

Curriculum Benchmarking for the Chemistry Education Study Program.

Community Service Activity, in the form of a Training on the Development of STEM-Based Teaching Materials for 46 high school and vocational chemistry teachers across Mataram City, held at SMA Negeri 2 Mataram
This partnership is part of the Leading University Program for International Cooperation (LUPIC), specifically under the initiatives to build Trans-Islands Educational Cooperation Networking and the Retraining Program for Science Teachers.
Through this collaboration, both institutions reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening synergy in the field of chemistry education, improving the quality of learning processes, and expanding inter-island academic networks. Teachers, lecturers, and students warmly welcomed the program and expressed hope that this partnership will continue sustainably in the years to come.
