Public Lecturer by Ms Shaleen Weber-Smith (Rinjani International School) with the topic \u201cEnglish for Young Learners\u201d is a form of cooperation in the field of Education between the Magister of English Education Department, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Mataram and Rinjani International School. This activity is useful for lecturers and students of Magister of English Education Department in University of Mataram in improving their knowledge of best-practice teaching English for young learners.<\/p>\n

The public lecturer which was held online and offline was attended by lecturers and students of Magister of English Education Department, other majors Master students, and English teachers. This public lecturer is a supplement to the development of research and science in the field of Teaching and Learning English for Young Learners. It was conducted to provide insight, especially to students, about effective English for Young Learners learning for students at the Elementary School level. The main objective is to explore the process and procedures, methods, techniques and strategies to teach English for Young Learners effectively in English that can inspire and entertain children.<\/p>\n

The form of activity of this workshop activity is an introduction and explanation of the process and procedures, methods, techniques and strategies to teach English for Young Learners effectively in English that can inspire and entertain children to Masters Students of the English Education Department. The results of this workshop activity are information obtained from related speakers:<\/p>\n

  2. Finding and developing ideas<\/li>\n
  3. Creating believable characters<\/li>\n
  4. Developing plausible plots<\/li>\n
  5. Using dialogue effectively<\/li>\n

  8. Advice on getting published<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
