Mataram, May 17, 2025 – The Mathematics Education Student Association (HIMATIKA) of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at the University of Mataram successfully held its Dies Natalis celebration as a way to express gratitude and reflect on the organization’s ongoing journey as a platform for students’ personal growth, creativity, and intellectual development.
Carrying the theme “Brilliant Innovations in Mathematics Education,” the event became an important moment to foster a spirit of collaboration, innovation, and meaningful contribution to the field of education, especially mathematics education.
This year’s Dies Natalis HIMATIKA celebrations were energized by the MATHECO (Mathematics Education Contest), held from March 30 to May 12, 2025. MATHECO featured a variety of scientific and educational competitions, including essay writing, educational poster design, and instructional video contests, open to participants from the provincial to national levels.
The Dies Natalis grand finale took place on May 17, 2025, and was officially opened by the advisor of HIMATIKA FKIP UNRAM, Mr. Eka Kurniawan, S.Pd., M.Pd. In his speech, he expressed his appreciation for the enthusiasm, hard work, and consistency of the HIMATIKA committee in organizing an event that was not only a celebration but also rich in educational and inspirational value.
As an annual HIMATIKA event, this celebration was organized by the Department of Media, Networks, and Communication, which actively managed the entire series of activities. MATHECO served not only as a competition but also as a platform for developing potential, exchanging ideas, and expanding the network among students in mathematics education.
With the spirit of “Brilliant Innovations in Mathematics Education,” the 2025 Dies Natalis of HIMATIKA FKIP Universitas Mataram stands as a clear testament to students’ ability to play an active role in driving positive change through creative, meaningful, and impactful activities for the educational community.
