West Lombok, 27 May 2025 – The Field Supervisor (Dosen Pembimbing Lapangan/DPL) from the Mathematics Education Study Program of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Universitas Mataram, along with SMAN 1 Labuapi, conducted supervision and monitoring activities for the Asistensi Mengajar (AM/Teaching Assistance) class over two days, on 26 and 27 May 2025. The AM program is one of the initiatives under the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) framework, which provides prospective teachers with the opportunity to gain hands-on teaching experience in schools.
This supervision and monitoring activity aimed to observe and evaluate the preparation and implementation of classroom instruction to ensure the quality of education and the effectiveness of the AM program at SMAN 1 Labuapi.
During the visit, the Field Supervisor, Ni Made Intan Kertiyani, S.Pd., M.Pd., reviewed the teaching modules and student worksheets (Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik/LKPD) as part of the instructional preparation. The supervisor also directly observed the classroom teaching process to ensure that teaching and learning activities met the required standards.
The activity concluded with a reflection session involving AM students, the mentor teacher, and the supervisor. The session was attended by students Nur Afifi Al Hakim and Hatmiati Nurpatullah, along with mentor teacher I Made Sarjana, S.Pd. This reflection served as a platform for evaluation and discussion to enhance the quality of teaching and the student teachers’ experience throughout the AM program.
The supervision and monitoring efforts reflect the commitment of SMAN 1 Labuapi and higher education institutions in supporting the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka program, while also strengthening prospective teachers’ competencies through real-world teaching practice in schools.
