Mataram, October 10, 2025 — Students from the Mathematics Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), University of Mataram (Unram), once again made a remarkable achievement on the international stage. Two Student Creativity Program (PKM) teams won 2nd place in the Research Poster Competition at The 7th International Conference on Education and Social Sciences (The 7th ICESS), held by FKIP University of Mataram on October 9–10, 2025.

The first team, supervised by Mr. Gilang Primajati, M.Sc., consisted of Nabila Aulia Priangka, Chaerunnisa Sumiatun Efendi Rusdianto, and Dina Rizkya Sofiana. The team earned 2nd place in the Educational Structures category with their research poster titled “AKSARA: Developing Mathematical Creativity through the Integration of Local Wisdom.” The project showcased an innovative mathematics learning model grounded in local wisdom, designed to build more creative and effective educational structures.
Mr. Gilang Primajati stated, “This achievement demonstrates that our Mathematics Education students are capable of producing relevant and innovative research. Their dedication to integrating mathematical creativity with local wisdom is truly inspiring.”

The second team, supervised by Ms. Dwi Novitasari, M.Pd., included M. Khoirul Hafizin, Choirunnisa, and Iskandar. They also won 2nd place, in the Teaching & Learning category, with a research poster titled “LumMath: Innovation in Contextual Geometry Learning Based on Sasak Traditional Houses to Create Interactive Learning at Darurrahman NW Aik Ampat Islamic Boarding School.” Their work focused on creative, culturally grounded mathematics learning strategies that enhance students’ understanding and engagement.

Ms. Dwi Novitasari expressed, “This success shows that creative ideas rooted in local wisdom can be appreciated at the international level. I hope this achievement motivates other students to keep innovating and competing globally.”

The success of these two PKM teams highlights the academic excellence of FKIP Unram’s Mathematics Education students and proves that educational innovations grounded in local culture can stand alongside international standards—bringing pride to the University of Mataram on the global stage.
