Lombok, October 16, 2025 — Another proud achievement was made by the Mathematics Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), University of Mataram. At The 2nd International Conference on Sustainable Science, Technology, and Education (The 2nd ICSSTE) held in Mataram on Thursday, October 16, 2025, three teams from the Mathematics Education Program successfully earned international awards in the Research Poster Competition.

The ICSSTE serves as a prestigious platform for academics, researchers, and students from various institutions to showcase their innovative studies focused on issues of sustainable education, science, and society. On this occasion, Mathematics Education lecturers and students from FKIP Unram contributed by presenting creative and globally relevant research works addressing contemporary educational challenges.

The first team, a collaboration between students and lecturers, consisted of Athia Awwalia Salim, Dr. Sri Subarinah, M.Si., Tabita Wahyu Triutami, M.Pd., and Junaidi, M.Pd. The team won the Best Originality Poster award in the scope of Education for Sustainable Environment, Energy, and Natural Sciences with their work titled “Development of Game-Based Learning Tools to Improve Numeracy Skills.” The research was recognized for its innovative approach to integrating game-based learning media to enhance students’ numeracy skills in an engaging and interactive manner.

Meanwhile, the second team, composed entirely of Mathematics Education students — Firdya Farjanggi, Dinda Humairah, and Sefia Kamal — successfully secured two awards. Their poster titled “An Inclusive Multisensory Assistive Learning Innovation for Mathematics Education of Students with Visual Disabilities in West Nusa Tenggara Towards Sustainable Development, Global Competitiveness, and Local Impactreceived the Best Design Poster award under the same scope, Education for Sustainable Environment, Energy, and Natural Sciences.

In addition, their second work, “From B40 to B50: Innovating Palm Oil-Based Biodiesel Toward Indonesia’s Net Zero Emission 2060 Goal,” earned the 2nd Place Winner title in the Earth Sciences for Sustainability category.

These remarkable achievements reaffirm the commitment of the Mathematics Education Study Program, FKIP University of Mataram, to advancing research-based mathematics education with a global perspective through innovative learning rooted in ethnosasambo — the local cultural values of Sasak, Samawa, and Mbojo.

The success of these three teams not only brings pride to the academic community but also demonstrates that FKIP Unram’s Mathematics Education students and lecturers are capable of competing at the international level — producing original, creative, and impactful research that contributes meaningfully to the development of sustainable education.
