Lombok Barat, May 10, 2025 — Students of the Early Childhood Education Teacher Education Program (PG-PAUD) at Universitas Mataram (Unram) carried out the 2025 Mobile Teaching (JARING) activity as an effort to develop early childhood character at PAUD Qur’an Baitul Hidayah, West Lombok, on Saturday (May 10).
The JARING activity was initiated by the HMPS PG-PAUD Unram as a platform for Early Childhood Education students to contribute, provide benefits, and inspire the early childhood education sector in Indonesia, particularly in West Nusa Tenggara.
In the JARING 2025 activity, storytelling using hand puppets was carried out. Storytelling itself is an effective learning activity for early childhood education. To attract the children’s interest and prevent boredom that young learners might feel during storytelling sessions, JARING 2025 invited Ahmad Fadli, S.Pd, better known as Kak Fadli from Kampung Dongeng Mataram.
Through the storytelling activity, Kak Fadli presented educational stories using hand puppets combined with expressive gestures and intonations that captivated the children’s interest and enthusiasm, keeping them actively engaged throughout the session. This approach ensured that the positive values embedded in the stories were effectively conveyed to the children at PAUD Qur’an Baitul Hidayah Lombok Barat, helping to achieve the goal of character development for early childhood in the JARING 2025 program.
