Wednesday, June 6, 2025 — Two study programs under the Department of Social Science Education (P.IPS), Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), University of Mataram—namely the Civic Education (PPKn) and Sociology Education programs—successfully hosted a guest lecture featuring Dr. Poerwanti Hadi Pratiwi, M.Si., from Yogyakarta State University. The lecture, officially opened by the Dean of FKIP Unram, Drs. Lalu Zulkifli, M.Si., Ph.D., focused on the theme “Techniques of Qualitative Data Analysis Using Atlas.ti Software.” The event was attended by lecturers and students from both study programs, creating a dynamic learning environment.

For many participants, the Atlas.ti software may have been a new and unfamiliar tool. Developed by German scholar Thomas Muhr, Atlas.ti is a software application designed to help users analyze large volumes of qualitative data—including text, graphics, audio, and video.
Through this guest lecture, both lecturers and students gained valuable insights into how Atlas.ti can be used to enhance the analysis of qualitative research data. It is expected that lecturers will apply the knowledge to their research and community service projects, while students—particularly those working on their final papers or theses—can benefit from using Atlas.ti in their data processing and analysis.
