Mataram, September 2, 2023 – New Student Sports and Arts Week (PORSENI MABA) is one of the work programs of the Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Alumni of FETT which aims to find the interests and talents of new FETT students in the fields of sports and arts and is a series of 42nd FETT Anniversary events. The organization of this activity also aims to find superior seeds among new students in sports, competition, and strengthen friendship between new students. There were several competitions held, namely Sports (Volleyball, Badminton, Table Tennis and Chess) and in the Arts (Solo Vocal and Poetry). These talented new students will later be fostered by FETT Student Activity Units (UKM) such as Sports UKM, White Theater UKM, and Music UKM so that their talents can be further developed so that they can be better prepared to take part in competitions at the Provincial, Regional and National levels.
The MABA PORSENI was held from Saturday, September 2-9, 2023 and was officially opened on Friday, September 1, 2023 by the Dean at the FKIP Volleyball Field. In his remarks, the Dean said that PORSENI MABA is a very good activity, which is not only to develop skills in the field of sports and arts, but also to develop students' soft skills, such as cooperation, discipline, and responsibility, and other skills. The Dean also advised to uphold sportsmanship in the competition.
