Mataram, 7 November 2024 – The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) of Universitas Mataram (Unram) hosted the Quality Assurance Visitation and Evaluation Monitoring of the Implementation of the Teacher Professional Education (PPG) Program carried out by the Directorate General of Teachers and Education Personnel of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology. The activity which lasted for two days, from November 7 to 8, 2024, aimed to ensure the implementation of quality and sustainable PPG in accordance with the National Education Standards and support the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially in the field of quality education.

The assessors assigned to this visitation were Karno Nano, S.ST., M.T. and Andrian Wijaya, S.Bns., who were present to confirm and evaluate data related to the implementation of PPG at FKIP Unram. This activity is expected to provide constructive input to improve the quality of PPG implementation, so that PPG graduates can contribute directly to the achievement of quality education targets, reducing inequality, and developing superior human resources as part of the global vision of SDGs. This visitation was not only limited to data inspection and program evaluation, but also included discussions regarding FETT Unram’s efforts to integrate the principles of SDGs in the PPG program. FETT Unram emphasized its commitment to support the achievement of SDG 4, namely quality education, by producing PPG graduates who are professional, have integrity, and are able to have a positive impact in various regions, including 3T areas (frontier, remote, and disadvantaged). With this visitation, FKIP Universitas Mataram hopes to further strengthen its role as an educational institution that is oriented towards quality, equality, and social impact. The evaluation results submitted by the assessor team will be an important foundation for FETT Unram to continue to improve the quality of the PPG program, thus producing teachers who are able to inspire the younger generation and contribute to sustainable development in Indonesia.(thor)
