Mataram – University of Mataram (Unram) has officially inaugurated 392 graduates of the 2024 Batch of Pre-Service PPG.
The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at Universitas Mataram held the Inauguration and Teacher Professional Oath Ceremony for the 2024 PPG graduates on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Lombok Raya Hotel, Mataram, NTB. This event marked a historic moment for 410 graduates, with 392 attending in person, symbolizing their first step as professional teachers ready to serve Indonesian education.
In his report, the Head of the PPG Program, Dr. H. Dadi Setiadi, M.Sc., expressed gratitude to all parties who supported the implementation of the PPG program, including the FKIP Unram administrative team, who worked hard to ensure the program’s success. He also encouraged graduates to share their positive experiences during the program and to maintain communication with their alma mater. “We need information and input from alumni, so we hope for your continued involvement,” he stated.
Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Sitti Hilyana, M.Si., representing the Rector of Unram, emphasized in her speech that PPG graduates bear a significant responsibility in preparing Indonesia’s golden generation of 2045. She reminded the new teachers to be prepared not only intellectually but also mentally and physically to face future educational challenges. “The teaching certificate you receive is proof that you are professional teachers. Be the teachers who are anticipated, exemplary, and innovators in the field of education,” she added.
On behalf of the graduates, Muhammad Hamdi, S.Pd.Gr., shared a heartfelt reflection on the journey of becoming a teacher. “Today, we have proven our success. God never makes mistakes in entrusting responsibilities. Thank you to FKIP Unram for providing us with the space to grow and develop,” he expressed.
The Dean of FKIP Unram, Drs. Lalu Zulkifli, M.Si., Ph.D., in his speech emphasized that the success of the graduates is the success of FKIP Unram. With great enthusiasm, he delivered a rhyme
"The morning sun shines so bright,
Its warmth embraces body and soul.
Today’s graduates shine with delight,
May you be teachers who prosper whole."
He also reminded the graduates to always be reflective and adaptive in their careers and encouraged them to actively participate in tracer studies to contribute to FKIP Unram’s future development.
This event aligns with Universitas Mataram’s commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth). By producing professional, competent, and competitive teachers, FKIP Unram contributes to improving national education quality and creating better employment opportunities in the education sector.
Through this inauguration, PPG FKIP Unram graduates are expected to become innovative, dedicated educators who actively shape a future generation that is excellent and of strong character.
