Mataram, 2025 — As part of the institutional accreditation process of the University of Mataram by the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT), the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) was selected as one of the key units visited during the BAN-PT’s Field Assessment.

The visit took place on FKIP’s campus and was led by Dr. Rohmadi Ratulisa, a BAN-PT assessor. The goal was to conduct a comprehensive review of institutional elements, including governance, academic quality, human resource performance, and the overall impact of the university’s threefold mission—education, research, and community service.

FKIP was chosen as a primary sample in this assessment due to its outstanding institutional performance. Currently, 12 of FKIP’s study programs hold “Unggul” (Excellent) accreditation status—an achievement that reflects the faculty’s high quality and competitive edge within the University of Mataram.

During the visit, Dr. Rohmadi provided several constructive suggestions to faculty leadership. One notable recommendation was to leverage the outcomes of learning activities—such as microteaching sessions—as educational content for social media. This strategy would serve both as a means of sharing best practices and enhancing the institution's digital branding.

The faculty leadership responded positively, welcoming the feedback and committing to using it as part of FKIP’s ongoing quality improvement efforts. The recommendations align closely with FKIP’s broader mission to support the University of Mataram’s vision of becoming an Excellent Institution.

The visit concluded on a warm and enthusiastic note, marked by camaraderie between the assessor, faculty leaders, and administrative staff. The session ended with a spirited chant from all participants:
“Jos Gandos!”
FKIP: Absolutely!
Unram: Excellent!

The strong participation of FKIP’s academic community in this process demonstrates a deep commitment to continuous educational quality enhancement. It also aligns with the goals of the Sustainable Development Agenda, particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
