Mataram — Students of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at the University of Mataram have once again delivered remarkable achievements at the 2025 Forum Komunikasi (FORKOM) FKIP for public universities across Indonesia, hosted this year by Raja Ali Haji Maritime University (UMRAH).

In this national gathering of FKIP students from universities throughout the country, the FKIP Unram delegation earned several prestigious awards. M. Khoirul Hafizin (Student ID E1R02310064) and Alya Sabrina (Student ID E1R02310034) from the Mathematics Education Study Program secured second place in the Science and Technology category of the Scientific Writing Competition.

Meanwhile, Irman Muliadi (Student ID E1Q022038) from the Physics Education Study Program and Ridho Suryo Prasojo (Student ID E1D022144) from the English Education Study Program claimed first place in the English Debate Competition. Another achievement came from I Gusti Ayu Made Sekarniswari of the English Education Study Program, who earned third place in the Social Sciences and Humanities category of the Learning Media Competition.

Before advancing to the national stage, each competition branch underwent an internal selection process at FKIP Universitas Mataram to determine the best representatives. Following the selection, first-place winners also received special coaching from the faculty leadership as part of the preparation and support for the national level.

These accomplishments further strengthen FKIP Unram’s long-standing tradition of excellence, especially in English debate. For the second year in a row, the FKIP Unram debate team successfully defended its first-place title, following its victory at FORKOM 2024 held at Sriwijaya University in Palembang.

The Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Alumni of FKIP Universitas Mataram, Dr. Muh. Makhrus , M.Pd., expressed his appreciation for the students’ achievements.

“We are extremely proud of these accomplishments. We are especially grateful that our English debate team was able to maintain its championship title from last year, and we hope to bring home even more awards in the years ahead,” he said.

This success stands as a testament to FKIP Universitas Mataram’s commitment to nurturing and developing student potential, both academically and non-academically, as the faculty continues to move toward excellence, competitiveness, and meaningful contribution at the national level.
