Mataram, 26 November 2025 — The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at the University of Mataram once again celebrates an outstanding achievement in the November 2025 Graduation Ceremony for Master’s and Bachelor’s Programs, held at the DOME Building of the University of Mataram. Out of 308 graduates, 57 successfully earned the cum laude distinction. However, the spotlight fell on Atikatul Hulaipah, a graduate of the Master of Primary Education Program, who was named the Best Graduate with a perfect GPA of 4.0.
Atikatul completed FKIP Unram’s fast track program, an accelerated study scheme that enables high-achieving students to finish both their bachelor’s and master’s degrees in a shorter timeframe. Her success reflects FKIP Unram’s commitment to producing exceptional graduates who are responsive, forward-thinking, and globally competitive.
In her inspirational remarks, Atikatul quoted an educational philosophy by John Dewey: “Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself.” She emphasized that her achievement was not a matter of luck, but the result of perseverance and a strong belief that being an educator is more than a profession. It is a calling. “We are here not because of fortune, but because of hard work and the conviction that teaching is the highest form of service,” she expressed with passion.

She concluded her speech with three simple yet profound messages for her fellow graduates: never stop learning, do not be afraid to be different, and strive to make a positive impact on others. These messages reflect the character and values upheld by FKIP Unram — adaptive, reflective, and impactful.
In his congratulatory address, the Dean of FKIP Universitas Mataram, Drs. Lalu Zulkifli, M.Si., Ph.D., extended his highest appreciation to all graduates. “FKIP graduates must be individuals who adapt to change and persevere with prayer. This achievement is not the end, but the beginning of a new responsibility to contribute meaningfully to society,” he stated.
Atikatul Hulaipah’s accomplishment is not only a testament to her personal excellence but also clear evidence of FKIP Universitas Mataram’s success in implementing an accelerated, high-quality, and inclusive education program. This achievement also supports the vision of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 5 (Gender Equality), by demonstrating that access to excellent and equitable education can produce educators who make an impact on a global scale.
