Mataram, October 4, 2023 – FETT Universitas Mataram today held a briefing on Field Experience Practice (PPL) for students of the Pre-Service Teacher Professional Education Program (PPG Prajab) batch 1 in 2023. This event aims to prepare students for the PPL that they will undergo in 16 schools in Mataram City.

The Head of the PPG Prajab Mathematics Program gave an important report that PPL participants will be placed in the best schools, which have been carefully selected to provide the best experience. The duration of this PPL covers 6 credits on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, while participants are expected to complete assignments on the Learning Management System (LMS) on Saturdays and Sundays. Success in PPL is highly dependent on understanding the PPL guidelines, and in the debriefing activities they get the material needed.

The speech delivered by the Dean of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education presented an unforgettable inspirational moment. He firmly reminded the PPL participants that being a teacher is not a simple task. A teacher must have a variety of effective learning strategies to achieve success in educating students. In addition, he emphasized the importance of discipline in complying with existing guidelines and rules, because teacher integrity and ethics are irreplaceable foundations in the profession. Moreover, the earnestness in mastering learning content is a strong foundation in providing deep understanding to future students. These messages are the starting point for PPG Prajab Mathematics students in building a solid foundation as dedicated and competent educators.

The event was closed with a prayer by Hairul Soleh, one of the PPG Prajab Mathematics Study Program participants, to provide enthusiasm and blessings for their PPL journey. The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education of Mataram University is committed to supporting the professional development of PPG Prajabat students and hopes that they can become qualified and dedicated teachers in the future.
