To elevate the standards of education and research within the realm of teacher training and education, the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education of the University of Mataram (FKIP Unram) and the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education of the University of Siliwangi (FKIP Unsil) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) and an Implementing Agreement (IA). This significant accord was officially endorsed during a ceremonious event held on Tuesday, December 4, 2023, within the distinguished confines of the Dean’s courtroom at FKIP Unram.
The signing was attended by important officials from both universities: the Dean of FKIP Unram, Drs. Lalu Zulkifli, M.Sc., Ph.D. and Dean of FKIP Unsil, Dr. Nani Ratnaningsih, Dra., M.Pd. The event was also attended by vice deans, heads of departments, and heads of study programs at FKIP Mataram University who exhibited profound enthusiasm in embracing this pivotal stride toward a strategic collaboration.
In his speech, Drs. Lalu Zulkifli, M.Sc., Ph.D. stated that this collaboration would bring great benefits to both parties. “We are very excited to collaborate with FKIP University of Siliwangi. “Through this collaboration, we hope to improve the quality of education and develop human resources in the fields of teaching and education,” said the Dean of FKIP Unram.
Dr. Nani Ratnaningsih, Dra., M.Pd. also welcomed this collaboration as a strategic step to strengthen the position of the two universities at the national and international levels. “This collaboration will open up opportunities for exchanges of students, lecturers, and joint research. “That way, we can learn from each other and improve the quality of education,” said Dr. Nani
The signed MoA and IA cover various areas of cooperation, including lecturer and student exchanges, joint research, organizing seminars and conferences, as well as curriculum development that is relevant to the demands of the times. The parties involved agree to immediately implement the agreed programs so that the benefits can be felt in real terms. This collaboration itself was directly implemented by the University of Mataram Biology Education Study Program by holding guest lectures with speakers from FKIP University of Siliwangi. The guest lecture activity was carried out after the signing of the MoA and IA which took place in the Building A Hall, FKIP, University of Mataram.
Through this MoA and IA, the cooperation between FKIP Unram and FKIP Unsil can continue to be established to improve the quality of education and the development of science.
