Mataram, December 6, 2023 – The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at the University of Mataram successfully conducted the Orientation for New Students of the Professional Teacher Education Program (PPG) Prajabatan, Batch 2. In his welcome address, the Dean of FKIP at University of Mataram, Drs. Lalu Zulkifli, M.Si., Ph.D., passionately explained the importance of PPG students focusing and working hard to complete the PPG Prajabatan successfully. He emphasized FKIP’s commitment to shaping future teachers with high competence and dedication.
Subsequently, the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs at University of Mataram officially opened the PPG Prajabatan activities. She motivated the students, emphasizing that undergoing Field Experience Programs (PPL) in schools is a golden opportunity to glean as much benefit as possible from practical experiences.
The event spanned a full day, involving interactive sessions and informative presentations. The Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Student Affairs at FKIP Unram also delivered a presentation on academic life at the university and the various student organizations within FKIP Unram. The aim was to provide a comprehensive understanding of campus life, emphasizing the importance of personal development beyond academic activities and the role of student organizations in supporting the students’ overall experience.
This orientation marks a crucial initial step for PPG Prajabatan Batch 2 students to understand and adapt to the university’s academic environment, motivating them to achieve their best during their educational journey.
