Mataram, February 24, 2024 – The Student Organizations of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at the University of Mataram recently conducted the Student Management Skills Training (LKMM) at the Yusuf Abu Bakar Auditorium. The event aimed to enhance management skills for members of the FKIP student organizations. With materials tailored to the student’s needs, they were provided insights and relevant skills to manage student organizations effectively. Various interesting topics were covered during the event, ranging from financial management and event planning to conflict management and leadership. The materials were presented by the Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Alumni of FKIP Unram, followed by discussion sessions and workshops to allow students to apply the knowledge gained directly. “I am thrilled to participate in this event. The materials provided are beneficial for us as student organization officials. We hope that with events like this, we can better manage our student organization,” said one of the participants. In addition to providing benefits in terms of knowledge and skills, this event also served as a platform for camaraderie among members of student organizations at FKIP Unram. They shared experiences and ideas, collaborating to advance student organizations within the campus environment. According to the Chair of the Student Executive Board (BEM), Lalu Nazir Huda, the Student Management Skills Training event is one of the student organization’s programs supported by the faculty to develop students’ potential beyond academics. “We hope that through events like this, our fellow student organization members can gain additional skills that will benefit their future, both academically and professionally,” he stated. The full-day event concluded with high spirits from the participants to apply the skills they acquired in managing their respective student organizations. It is hoped that, through strong cooperation and commitment, the student organizations at FKIP Unram can become more productive and high-quality platforms for students.
