Mataram, June 17, 2024 – The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at Universitas Mataram (Unram) celebrated Eid al-Adha 1445 H by organizing a Qurban event with the academic community. The event was led by Dr. Abdul Kadir Jaelani, M.Pd., who served as the committee chair.
The slaughtering of sacrificial animals was carried out on the day coinciding with Eidl-Adha, namely June 17, 2024 or 10 Zulhijjah 1445 H, located in the biology garden of FKIP Unram. This year, five cows weighing over 400 kg each were slaughtered, donated by five groups of sacrificers.
More than 200 meat distribution coupons were distributed to the community. Recipients exchanged these coupons to receive prepared meat portions prepared by the committee.
The Dean of FKIP Unram, Drs. H. Lalu Zulkifli, M.Si., Ph.D., expressed his gratitude and appreciation. “Alhamdulillah, all the preparations, from socializing the participation of the FKIP community to the Qurban event yesterday, went well. I extend my thanks and high appreciation to everyone involved, both as donors of the sacrificial animals at FKIP Unram and the chairperson, secretary, treasurer, and all the team members involved. If there were shortcomings, please forgive us, and we will strive to improve next year. May your contributions of time, thought, funds, and effort be recorded as high-value acts of worship and receive rewards from Allah SWT,” he said.
The event chair, Dr. Abdul Kadir Jaelani, M.Pd., also expressed his gratitude to the sacrificers. "We extend our thanks to all the sacrificers, may our sacrifices and acts of worship be accepted by Allah SWT and always be blessed."
The sacrificers also expressed their appreciation for the committee's hard work in making the event a success and for the dean's support in facilitating this activity. Additionally, the committee thanked everyone involved in the Qurban event at FKIP Unram, including volunteers, lecturers, sacrificers, and the entire academic community of Unram.
This Qurban event was a significant moment for FKIP Unram to strengthen the bonds of friendship among the academic community while sharing with the surrounding community, hoping that this act of worship would be accepted by Allah SWT and bring blessings to all parties involved. (ron)
