Mataram, June 17, 2024 – Universitas Mataram (Unram) is taking significant steps to improve education in Indonesia by proposing the addition of a Doctoral Program (PhD) at Unram. One of the proposed programs is the Doctoral Program in Education at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP). The program evaluation event, held in Meeting Room 2 on the 2nd floor of FKIP Unram, was attended by various relevant parties, including evaluators, the head of the proposal, lecturers, and other stakeholders.

The Directorate of Institutional Affairs, Ditjen Diktiristek, delegated an evaluator team consisting of experts in their fields, including Prof. Dr. Paulina Pannen, M.LS. (Evaluator for Criteria I: Curriculum), Prof. Dr. Eko Hadi Sujiono, M.Si. (Evaluator for Criteria II: Lecturers and Criteria III: UPPS), Pande Putu Suryadinata (Evaluator for Study Program Proposal), Henriette Minerva Wenno (Field Evaluation Discussant), Dwi Septi Sulastri (Field Evaluation Discussant), and Dwi Rosmalasari (Field Evaluation Discussant).

The proposing team for the Doctoral Program in Education at FKIP Unram, led by Drs. Lalu Zulkifli, M.Si., Ph.D. (Dean), was strengthened by the presence of Dr. Saprizal Hadisaputra, M.Sc. (Vice Dean for Academic Affairs), Dr. Santi Farmasari, M.TESOL. (Vice Dean for General Affairs and Finance), Dr. Muh. Makhrus, M.Pd. (Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Alumni), Prof. Drs. Mahyuni, M.A., Ph.D. (Head of the PhD in Education Program), along with dedicated lecturers and administrative staff.

The Dean of FKIP, Drs. Lalu Zulkifli, M.Si., Ph.D., expressed the commitment of FKIP University of Mataram to seriously develop the Doctoral Program in Education with a unique focus on eco-tourism. He hopes that this proposal will come to fruition and contribute to improving the quality of education in Indonesia, particularly in the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province .

The event proceeded in a solemn atmosphere, with assessors engaging in constructive and in-depth discussions. It is hoped that through this evaluation, the PhD in Education Program at FKIP Universitas Mataram will soon be realized and make a tangible contribution to the advancement of education in Indonesia.

FKIP Unram’s initiative in establishing this Doctoral Program in Education demonstrates a high level of dedication and commitment to continue working towards the intellectual development of the nation. By incorporating eco-tourism values, this program is expected to produce future generations who are not only intelligent and knowledgeable but also concerned about environmental sustainability. (ron)
