(FKIP), Mataram University (Unram), succeeded in becoming the representative of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) to the 2024 National Student Art Week (Peksiminas) after winning the Regional Student Art Week (Peksimida) held at Muhammadiyah Mataram University on July 6, 2024. The parar of students who are members of the Teater Putih Faculty Student Activity Unit (UKMF) will compete in Jakarta in the next 2 months. Rosiana, General Secretary of UKMF Teater Putih, expressed her pride that some of her members managed to represent not only UKM or Unram, but also the region at the national level. “Alhamdulillah, our friends from UKMF Teater Putih were able to participate fully with satisfactory results. They managed to advance to Peksiminas this year by sending three delegates in the categories of female poetry reading, monologue, and poetry writing,” he said on July 6. According to him, being a representative of NTB is not easy, because they will compete with representatives from dozens of other provinces. “For UKMF Teater Putih friends who advanced to Peksiminas this year, they will be coached and trained again in preparation for Peksiminas,” he added. He also expressed his hope that the campus will provide full support to stabilize the participants who represent the region and the name of the campus. “Full support from the campus will certainly be a boost of enthusiasm for friends of UKMF Teater Putih to continue to process with enthusiasm,” he said. Dr. Muh. Makhrus as Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Alumni of FKIP Unram expressed his highest appreciation to the representatives of FKIP Unram who qualified for Peksiminas. “This is quite a long process, from selection at the university to the region, our representatives in FETT can qualify for the National level,” he said. Peksimida NTB which lasted for two days was not only an event for student art competitions, but also as a selection stage held by the local government to select students who would represent NTB in Peksiminas 2024 in Jakarta. Peksiminas is a competition and talent show for students in Indonesia organized by the Indonesian Talent Development Agency (BPTI) of Kemendikbudristek. This year, the event will be held at Jakarta State University (UNJ) on September 2-7.(ron)
