Mataram, July 4, 2023 – FKIP Universitas Mataram (Unram) and the Faculty of Music & Performing Arts Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI)
Malaysia agreed to collaborate to improve academic and student quality.
This agreement was contained in a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) signed on July 4, 2023 in Tanjong Malim, Perak, Malaysia.
The signing of the MoA was carried out by the Dean of FKIP Unram, Drs. Lalu Zulkifli, M.Si., Ph.D., and the Dean of the Faculty of Music Performing Arts Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Fazli Taib bin Saearani. FKIP Unram is known for its excellence in research-based education and innovative learning approaches that have been recognized nationally. The faculty also actively collaborates with various educational institutions and research institutions to improve the quality of lecturers and students through scholarship and student exchange programs. Through this collaboration, FKIP Unram hopes to learn from UPSI in improving the accreditation of study programs towards superior predicates and international standards.
Meanwhile, Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris' Faculty of Music & Performing Arts excels in the development of music and performing arts based on local and international cultures.
The faculty is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and international standard study programs, allowing students to explore various aspects of performing arts through practical and theoretical approaches.
This cooperation agreement covers the fields of education, research, and community service. It is hoped that this collaboration can have a positive impact on both institutions, especially in improving the quality of human resources as well as a real contribution to academic and social progress in their respective environments.(ron)
