Mataram, July 11, 2024 – A student of Mathematics Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Universitas Mataram (Unram), Wirda Hasanah, won first place in the Essay Competition organized by the Faculty of Law, University of Jember. . The competition themed “Innovation of Islamic Law Reform in Indonesian Legal System to Welcome Golden Indonesia 2045” was attended by various students from all over Indonesia. In his essay, Wirda Hasanah discusses how Islamic law reform can be harmonized with the Indonesian legal system to create justice and public welfare in the future. His innovative ideas and in-depth analysis managed to amaze the judges, leading him to win first place. When met after the announcement of the winner, Wirda Hasanah expressed his gratitude for his achievement. “I am very grateful and proud to have won this essay competition. This is a very meaningful achievement for me. I hope the ideas I convey in this essay can make a positive contribution to the development of Islamic law in Indonesia,” she said happily. The Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Alumni of FKIP University of Mataram, Dr. Muh. Makhrus, M.Pd., also gave appreciation for the achievements made by FKIP students. “We are very proud of Wirda Hasanah’s achievement. This shows that FKIP Unram students have extraordinary abilities and potential. Hopefully this achievement can inspire other students to continue to excel and make a positive contribution to the nation and state,” he said. This essay competition is part of a series of academic activities of the Faculty of Law, University of Jember, which aims to explore fresh and innovative ideas from students in the field of Islamic law. Wirda Hasanah’s achievement is expected to motivate other students to continue to be creative and excel in the academic field.(fu)
