M. Yusuf Abu Bakar Auditorium, 14-16 August 2024 – The 2024 Introduction to Campus Life Program for New Students (PKKMB) at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Mataram (FKIP Unram) took place lively for three days, from 14 to 16 August 2024. The activity, which was held at the M. Yusuf Abu Bakar Auditorium, was attended by all dean officials, including the Dean, Vice Dean, Head of Department, Secretary of Department, Head of Study Program, Secretary of Study Program, Head of Administration (KTU), and Head of Tendik Team.
Opening of PKKMB 2024
The opening ceremony which took place on the first day began with a report from the Chairman of PKKMB 2024, Muhammad Tahir, S.Pd., M.Sn. In his report, he said that PKKMB FKIP Unram 2024 was attended by 1,570 new students who seemed enthusiastic to get to know more about life on campus. This year’s theme is “Realizing Students with Smart and Independent Character Towards Superior Accreditation.” He hoped that through this PKKMB, new students can prepare themselves well to take education at FKIP Unram and achieve success in the future. The next speech was delivered by the Dean of FKIP Unram, Drs. Lalu Zulkifli, M.Si., Ph.D. He emphasized the importance of the spirit and readiness of new students in undergoing academic life on campus. “Make the most of this opportunity, strengthen your intention to become a bachelor on time,” he said. He also reminded students to understand and follow academic guidelines, especially Article 54, and maintain a balance between effort and prayer. “Maintain good manners, obey the applicable rules, and dress according to the principles of decency and appropriateness,” he added. At the end of his speech, the Dean expressed his welcome to all new students of FKIP Unram.
Art Performance and Material Delivery
After the speech, the event continued with a dance performance from students of the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program (PGSD), which was greeted enthusiastically by the participants.
Furthermore, the introduction to life on campus was delivered by competent speakers, providing important insights for new students.
PKKMB Event Series
PKKMB FKIP Unram 2024 continued on the second day with ORMA FEST (Organisasi Mahasiswa Festival), where various student organizations (Ormawa) introduced themselves and their activities to the new students. On the third day, PKKMB was held in each study program, providing a more specific introduction to the study program taken by the students. With this series of activities, it is hoped that new students can start their academic journey at FKIP Unram with optimal enthusiasm and readiness.(fu)
