Mataram, September 6, 2024 – The Judisium of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) of University of Mataram for the July and September 2024 periods took place with great fanfare on Friday, September 6, 2024. The event was held at the Dome Building of the University of Mataram and was attended by hundreds of students who had completed their education. A total of 458 graduates, consisting of 303 graduates of the July period and 155 graduates of the September period, officially held the status of bachelor and master.
The graduation ceremony was also a special moment for 160 graduates who achieved the cum laude title, 80 graduates each for each period. They stand as a symbol of pride and outstanding academic achievement in FKIP University of Mataram.
Dean’s Remarks: Collaboration and Adaptation, Keys to Success
The Dean of FKIP, Drs. Lalu Zulkifli, M.Si., Ph.D., in his speech gave a meaningful message to the graduates. He emphasized the importance of mastery of science that must be accompanied by strong morals. “Mastery of science without morals will lead to destruction,” said Drs. Zulkifli.
He also reminded that this graduation day is the beginning of a new chapter in the lives of the graduates. "There are two important keywords to remember, which are good at communicating and good at collaborating. Adaptability in any system is the key to your success in the future," he added. In his speech, he also emphasized the importance of focusing on self-development and always trying to harmonize between prayer and endeavor.
Ending his speech, the Dean of FKIP apologized on behalf of the faculty to all graduates, if during the education process there were shortcomings in service.
Best Graduating Student Message: Be an Agent of Change
Ria Zulfa, the best graduate from the Chemistry Education Study Program, represented her colleagues in delivering messages and impressions. In her speech, Ria emphasized that this graduation is not the end, but the first step towards greater goals. "We would like to thank all lecturers who have educated us, not only to seek grades, but also to become valuable human beings. The creativity, knowledge, and values we have gained will be our weapons in facing an ever-changing world," Ria said enthusiastically. She also expressed her gratitude to her parents and all those who have supported their struggle. Ria quoted her father's advice, "You are the future, what you do today you will reap in the future." This message inspires the graduates to stay strong, dream, and continue to strive to be the best version of themselves.
