Mataram – In an effort to improve the quality of education, the Indonesian Language and Literature Education S1 Study Program at FKIP Universitas Mataram conducted a Field Assessment (AL) by the Education Self-Accreditation Agency (LAMDIK) on November 25-26, 2024. This activity took place at FKIP Universitas Mataram and was attended by two LAMDIK assessors, namely Prof. Dr. Maman Suryaman, M.Pd. from Yogyakarta State University and Dr. Dase Erwin Juansah, M.Pd. from Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University.
In his speech, Prof. Ir. Bambang Hari Kusumo, M.Agr.St., Ph.D., conveyed various achievements and commitments of Mataram University in improving the quality of education, especially LPTK. “In the last two years and eight months, we have focused on improving LPTK. Initially only three study programs were accredited A, but now the number has increased significantly. We also achieved the third national rank in Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), up from 27th previously,” he said. The Rector also emphasized the importance of allocating funds to strengthen cooperation, research, libraries, and laboratories as part of the transformation towards a world class university. He expressed optimism to achieve the target of 100% superior accreditation in all study programs. In addition, administrative efficiency is also a priority, which now only takes one day, compared to the previous one that took a week.
Prof. Dr. Maman Suryaman, M.Pd., in his speech, appreciated the complete presence of the leadership of the University of Mataram. "Although this is an assessment at the study program level, we are very proud to see the Chancellor and the ranks present to fully support this activity," he said. He also noted the increase in the number of professors at the University of Mataram which now reaches 107, as well as the high allocation of research funds in accordance with university priorities.
Prof. Maman also said that the field assessment is part of an internal process to confirm various data that has been reported. "We will visit facilities and infrastructure, including the microteaching laboratory, which is an important element in the education of prospective teachers. Hopefully this activity will run smoothly," he added.
Dr. Dase Erwin Juansah, M.Pd.conveyed the importance of confirming the data that has been uploaded by the study program. "Our job is to match the uploaded data with the field conditions. Although we already have a picture, direct confirmation is still needed," he explained. He hopes that this assessment process can run smoothly and make a positive contribution to improving the quality of the study program. This Field Assessment is expected to be a strategic step to support the achievement of superior accreditation for the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Undergraduate Study Program at FKIP Universitas Mataram. Full support from the university, both in the form of facilities, infrastructure, and strategic policies, is a strong foundation in realizing the university's vision as a world class university.(thor)
