The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) of Mataram University held the peak of its 43rd Anniversary celebration on Saturday, December 7, 2024, in front of Building A of FKIP of Mataram University. With the theme “Synergy of the Academic Community of FKIP University of Mataram Towards Sustainable Excellence,” this event is a momentum for reflection on the long journey of FKIP and celebration of extraordinary achievements in the field of education.

The activity began with a leisurely walk with the entire FKIP academic community, followed by a study program bazaar featuring various educational innovations and products, in line with SDGs number 4(Quality Education) and SDGs number 3(Good Health and Well-Being). The Gendang Belek dance also started the series of official events as a symbol of local cultural preservation, supporting SDGs number 11(Sustainable Cities and Communities). In her report, the Chairperson of the Committee, Santi Farmasari, S.Pd., M.Ed.TESOL., Ph.D., said that this year’s theme reflects the determination of FKIP University of Mataram to continue to work together in improving the quality of education in a sustainable manner. The Dean of FKIP, Drs. Lalu Zulkifli, M.Si., Ph.D., underlined the importance of collaboration of the academic community to realize the vision of becoming a superior and globally competitive faculty. The Rector of the University of Mataram, Prof. Ir. Bambang Hari Kusumo, M.Agr.St., Ph.D., in his speech emphasized his full support for FKIP, including improving facilities, research, and international cooperation to realize sustainable excellence.

The peak of the event was marked by the cutting of tumpeng as a symbol of gratitude for the 43rd Anniversary, the achievement of superior accreditation by several FKIP study programs, and the launch of the Doctoral Education Study Program. This momentum is a tangible manifestation of FKIP's commitment to improving the quality of higher education in line with SDGs number 9(Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) and SDGs number 17(Partnerships for the Goals).

The event was also filled with awards for retired lecturers and education staff, student art performances, as well as the announcement of competition winners and door prize distribution. This celebration strengthens the spirit of synergy and collaboration which is the core of the 43rd Anniversary theme.
