Mataram, March 6, 2025 – The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at the University of Mataram has once again sent its students to participate in the School Field Introduction Program (PLP) and the Independent MBKM Teaching Assistance and Internship Program. A total of 338 students from various study programs were officially released in a ceremony held at the courtyard of Building A, FKIP Unram.
Dr. Amrullah, S.Si., M.Si., Head of LPTPP FKIP Unram, reported that the program consists of three main activities: 260 students are joining the Teaching Assistance (AM) program, 46 students are undertaking independent internships, and 32 students are involved in PLP. The PGSD study program recorded the highest number of Teaching Assistance participants, with 141 students. Dr. Amrullah expressed his hope that all students would carry out their duties responsibly while maintaining a professional attitude throughout the program.
In his speech, FKIP Unram Dean Drs. Lalu Zulkifli, M.Si., Ph.D., emphasized the importance of understanding educational dynamics and different approaches to student development. “As educators, our duty is not just to teach but also to understand the character and needs of our students,” he said. He also reminded students of the value of perseverance in learning: “If you can’t endure the fatigue of studying, then you must be ready to endure the pain of ignorance.“

Additionally, students were encouraged to familiarize themselves with their responsibilities and assessment criteria while upholding the reputation of their alma mater at their assigned schools. The dean also highlighted the crucial role of faculty supervisors in guiding and mentoring students effectively.
Through the PLP and Independent MBKM programs, FKIP Unram remains committed to preparing students to become professional educators ready to face the challenges of the education sector. With strong competencies, discipline, and dedication, these students are expected to make a meaningful contribution to education, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in ensuring quality education (SDG 4).
