Mataram – In the spirit of togetherness and social solidarity, the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at the University of Mataram marked the celebration of Eid al-Adha 1446 Hijri by carrying out the ritual slaughter of five cows on Friday, June 6, 2025. The ceremony took place solemnly at the FKIP Biology Garden, shortly after the Eid prayer held in front of the University Rectorate Building.

The event was attended by faculty leadership, including the Dean of FKIP, Drs. Lalu Zulkifli, M.Si., Ph.D., along with Vice Deans, lecturers, administrative staff, students, and members of the surrounding community. Their presence added a warm and meaningful atmosphere to this year’s sacrificial ceremony.

The five cows were sacrificed as a gesture of compassion and FKIP’s commitment to exemplifying care for others. The meat was distributed to hundreds of recipients, including staff, students, lecturers, and local residents. The symbolic handover of the sacrificial meat was led by the Head of the Eid Committee, Dr. Amrullah, S.Pd., M.Pd., and was followed by an orderly distribution process carried out by a team of faculty members, staff, and students.

Beyond fulfilling a religious duty, the event also served to strengthen bonds within the FKIP academic community. A communal cooking and meal-sharing activity brought together faculty leadership, lecturers, staff, and committee members—highlighting the unity and family spirit that FKIP continues to nurture.

In his remarks, the Dean of FKIP expressed his gratitude for the smooth execution of the event and emphasized the importance of solidarity and the value of mutual cooperation in academic life. “May the spirit of sacrifice bring blessings and deepen our sense of empathy—both in our social lives and academic endeavors,” he said.

Through this initiative, FKIP at the University of Mataram not only promotes religious values on campus but also reinforces its commitment to sustainable development in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 2: Zero Hunger, Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
