Mataram, June 24, 2025 — The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at the University of Mataram continues to demonstrate its commitment to improving higher education governance by organizing a Workshop on the Drafting of the New Academic Guidelines. Held in the Senate Meeting Room, 3rd Floor of Building A at FKIP Unram, this event serves as a crucial step in aligning the faculty’s academic policies with the latest national regulations, particularly Ministerial Regulation No. 53 of 2023 on Quality Assurance in Higher Education.
The event was attended by faculty leadership, department heads, coordinators of undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs, as well as other academic officials—highlighting a collaborative, cross-level effort to support academic reform within the faculty.
In his report, the Head of the Academic Guidelines Drafting Team, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Harjono, S.Si., M.Pd., stated that the draft was developed with a strong focus on improving study efficiency, enabling students to graduate on time without compromising academic quality. “Let’s review this document together to ensure it truly facilitates student success while serving as a solid reference for lecturers in managing academic processes,” he said. He also emphasized that the workshop would cover two key aspects: the academic guideline draft and the scientific paper format, both of which are being updated to reflect current trends in higher education.


Meanwhile, the Dean of FKIP Unram, Drs. Lalu Zulkifli, M.Si., Ph.D., stressed the importance of inclusive involvement across the faculty in building an adaptive and accountable academic system. “FKIP is a large system composed of many subsystems. To ensure this system operates effectively, we must continuously strengthen coordination, collaboration, and our collective understanding of all regulations,” he asserted. He also expressed hope that the guidelines would not only be drafted but also properly implemented to uphold the institution’s quality and integrity.
