Mataram, June 26, 2025 — The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at the University of Mataram held a Workshop on the Drafting of the Scientific Writing Guidelines, an essential part of the faculty’s effort to refine its academic documentation. The event took place in the Senate Meeting Room, 3rd Floor of Building A at FKIP, and was attended by representatives from the faculty leadership, departments, undergraduate to doctoral programs, and other academic administrators.

In the opening remarks, the Head of the Drafting Team, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Harjono, S.Si., M.Pd., emphasized that the development of this guideline is a continuation of FKIP Unram’s initiative to complete all its strategic academic documents. “This guideline is designed to align with national policies, including the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Regulation No. 53 of 2023. It is intended to serve as a practical reference for students to complete their studies on time,” he stated. He also highlighted the need for collective synergy to ensure that the resulting document is implementable and beneficial for the entire academic community.

Guidance was delivered by FKIP Vice Dean I, Prof. Dr. Saprizal Hadisaputra, M.Sc., who noted that the workshop is part of a strategic process aimed at developing a stronger and more responsive academic governance system. “This scientific writing guideline must be adapted to current academic conditions and grounded in principles of quality scholarship. As a leading institution, FKIP must establish accurate and integrated documentation systems,” he said. He also pointed out that this document will be a critical instrument for future accreditation processes and quality assurance evaluations.

The workshop served as an open discussion forum where participants could provide feedback on the draft to ensure it is relevant, actionable, and responsive to academic needs across programs. The presence of diverse academic stakeholders reflected FKIP’s strong commitment to maintaining academic quality through collaborative engagement.
