Mataram, 5 November 2025 — A warm and spirited atmosphere marked the opening of the 44th Anniversary Celebration of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education at the University of Mataram (FKIP Unram) on Wednesday morning. Held at the main courtyard of FKIP, the event was officially opened by the Dean of FKIP, Drs. Lalu Zulkifli, M.Si., Ph.D., and attended by faculty members, administrative staff, and students.
The ceremony began with a report from the Chair of the Anniversary Committee, Hapipi, S.Pd., M.Sc., Ph.D., followed by the dean’s address and the official opening. The release of balloons into the sky symbolized the start of this year’s series of events, held under the theme “Synergy of the FKIP Universitas Mataram Academic Community: Spreading Science and Technology, Cultivating Values, Creating Impact for the Nation.”
In his remarks, Dean Drs. Lalu Zulkifli, M.Si., Ph.D. emphasized the importance of upholding excellence in all aspects of the university’s tridharma: education, research, and community service. “This year’s theme reflects our commitment to continuous and meaningful contribution. Spreading science and technology means sharing knowledge and innovation, cultivating values means strengthening character and integrity, and creating impact means ensuring that FKIP brings real benefits to society. With this spirit of excellence, FKIP will continue to move forward, thrive, and make an even greater impact for the nation,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Anniversary Committee Chair, Hapipi, S.Pd., M.Sc., Ph.D., explained that the 44th Anniversary series will run throughout November, involving academic, social, and sports activities.
“We designed this celebration to reflect a balance between intellectual engagement, social values, and physical well-being. There will be international seminars such as The 2nd ICSSTE 2025 and The 7th ICESS 2025, national seminars at the study program level, and social programs including Professor Mengajar di Sekolah and a blood donation drive. We also have various sports competitions such as volleyball, badminton, pickleball, futsal, table tennis, and chess, along with recreational activities such as a fun walk and a bazaar,” he said.
After the opening ceremony and a joint prayer, the dean and faculty leaders headed to the volleyball court, where the dean performed the first serve to officially begin the volleyball match between lecturers and administrative staff. The activity served not only as a sports event but also as an opportunity to strengthen camaraderie among the FKIP academic community.
The peak celebration of FKIP Unram’s 44th Anniversary is scheduled for 29 November 2025, and will be attended by university leaders, active and retired faculty and staff, as well as FKIP alumni from various cohorts.(yogi)
