Mataram, 12th November 2025The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at the University of Mataram held another capacity-building workshop for lecturers through the Learning Support System Workshop, conducted at the 3rd Floor Auditorium of Building A, FKIP Unram. This workshop is part of the faculty’s ongoing efforts to digitalize academic systems, particularly in supporting an effective, transparent, and well-documented undergraduate thesis supervision process.

In his opening report, the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Saprizal Hadisaputra, M.Sc., explained that the program builds on previous initiatives that focused on the university’s Academic Information System (SIA). This year, the spotlight is on developing a dedicated digital platform for thesis supervision. “This system allows the entire supervision process to be conducted not only through hard copies but also properly documented within an online platform. This step is part of our preparation for international accreditation,” he said. He also encouraged all participants to immediately practice using their individual accounts to ensure optimal system utilization.

Dean of FKIP Unram, Drs. Lalu Zulkifli, M.Si., Ph.D., expressed his appreciation to the participants for taking the time to attend despite their busy schedules. “We each have responsibilities according to our roles, and let us carry them out sincerely. This workshop must be followed up with concrete action so that the benefits can be felt directly,” he said, officially opening the event.

The workshop featured Muhammad Naufal Rizqullah, S.Kom., from the ICT Unit of Universitas Mataram as the main speaker. He provided a comprehensive explanation of the learning support system, its digital supervision features, and its integration with the academic database. During the hands-on session, participants had the opportunity to try the system using their institutional accounts, ensuring technical understanding and effective implementation.

The workshop also contributes to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 9 (Innovation and Infrastructure), by strengthening technology-based academic governance and improving the efficiency of academic processes.

Through this initiative, FKIP Universitas Mataram continues to reinforce its commitment to delivering impactful, excellent, and globally competitive education, in line with the university’s vision of becoming an internationally recognized institution.
