Siti Sumarti, M.Hum. is a lecturer in English Education Department. She earned her graduate degree, majoring in Applied Linguistics, from Yogyakarta State University in 2021. Her research interest is in the field of linguistics. It is mainly in the areas of pragmatics, sociolinguistics, and translation. Some of her research is about requests and commands used in a film, the use of the word ‘maaf’ in Indonesian language, writing errors, and non-conventionally indirect requests in a comic.
