Desi Herayana, M.A.
Desi Herayana, S.Pd., M.A. is a Junior Lecturer at the English Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Mataram. She completed her bachelor’s degree at Universitas Mataram, Indonesia, and earned her master’s degree from The University of Adelaide, South Australia. Her academic interests include English language teaching, English for Young Learners, linguistics, translation, classroom discourse, early literacy, formative assessment, academic writing, and curriculum studies.
She has many years of experience teaching English for young learners in formal and non-formal educational settings. She also teaches English courses at the university level and in language center programs. Her teaching practice focuses on helping learners develop language skills through meaningful, age-appropriate, and context-sensitive learning activities. In addition to teaching, she has been involved in several research projects related to literacy, English for young learners, and teacher development.
Through her academic work, she seeks to contribute to the improvement of English language education, especially in young learner contexts.
