Mataram, May 20, 2025 – To improve the quality of elementary education, a team of lecturers from the University of Mataram held a community service activity titled “Enhancing Teachers’ Ability to Analyze the Effectiveness of Learning Tools in Mataram City Elementary Schools.” The activity took place on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at SD Negeri 14 Cakranegara and was attended by dozens of elementary school teachers from various schools across Mataram City.

The community service featured six experts in the field of education, namely: 1) Dr. Asrin, M.Pd. — who opened the session with a presentation on the urgency of analyzing learning tools within the context of the Merdeka Curriculum. 2) Dr. Fahrudin, M.Pd. — discussed practical approaches to evaluating the effectiveness of lesson plans (RPP) and assessments. 3) Prof. Dr. I Wayan Karta, M.S. – presented strategies for developing learning tools based on character education and the Pancasila Student Profile. 4) G. Ayu Aryanthi, M.Pd. — provided technical training on revising and developing adaptive learning tools. 5) Baiq Devi Paramitha, M.Pd. — explained indicators of learning tool effectiveness and how to integrate differentiated instruction. 6) Evi Suryaningsih, S.Pd. — shared practical field experiences on implementing learning tools that successfully improved student learning outcomes.

The activity was designed as an interactive workshop with hands-on guidance, where participants not only received material but also practiced analyzing and improving their own learning tools.

“The main goal of this activity is to equip teachers with critical and systematic analysis skills for the learning tools they use daily, making the teaching and learning process more effective and impactful,” said Dr. Asrin, M.Pd. he said.

The participating teachers welcomed the activity with enthusiasm, as the material provided was relevant to the real challenges they face in the classroom. They also received direct feedback from the experts on the learning tools they analyzed.

The principal of SDN 14 Cakranegara, where the activity was held, expressed gratitude for the successful implementation of the program. “We feel honored to host this very valuable activity. Hopefully, the knowledge gained can be immediately applied to improve the quality of learning in each school,” he said.

Through this community service activity, Universitas Mataram demonstrates its commitment to supporting the professional capacity building of teachers in the region, especially in facing the dynamics and challenges of effectively implementing the Merdeka Curriculum.
